After ten years of recording, producing, mixing and mastering, OJ (Ofer Shabi) decided to build upon the success of ‘The Musician’s House’ (a studio he founded on Finchley Road in 2003) and created a newly branded and located recording studio in London, now known as Soho Sonic Studios.
With the new location being only a 4 minute walk from Oxford Circus tube station in London, Soho Sonic’s mixing studio could now accommodate both talented musicians, record labels and media companies alike.
Over the years, Soho Sonic has been the home to a string of highly talented and professional sound engineers and producers. This stellar team has been one of the mixing studio’s strongest features as they continue to bring great enthusiasm and professionalism to every individual project.

After studying jazz piano and arrangement at the Bill Evans Academy in Paris, Israeli-born multi-instrumentalist OJ moved to London where he joined soul-rock group Soul Abyss, performing, writing and arranging the tracks, and developing a love for recording and composition.
A desire for perfectionism over touring, led OJ to setup a studio in his garage, inviting other musicians and engineers to live and create music with him. The result was The Musician’s House. In 2010 OJ moved the studio out of his house and into professional premises, setting up Soho Sonic Studios just off Oxford Circus.
Over the last ten years Fridel has been writing and producing music for film, TV, theatre, albums production and mobile apps. He composed music for channels like BBC, 4 music,Universal, Al Jazeera international,CNN, Discovery. He scored theatre and dance productions nationally and internationally such as Scapino Ballet, Tim Supple, Habima National Theatre,Schaubühne Berlin. He produced and mixed albums for for leading artist in Europe and UK.
Fridel started out as a classically-trained tuba player, performing with the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra and the National Opera, before coming to the UK to study Audio Production at the University of Westminster, London
Mike Avgeros is a sound engineer and sound designer based in London. After obtaining his degree in Music Technology from Kingston University, he worked with various up and coming and signed artists and producers in Greece while also recording voiceovers and designing sounds for radio ads. In his spare time, he loves going out with his recorder in search of interesting sounds to record and experiment with.
He recently became part of the Soho Sonic family and he enjoys every minute of it. While here, he is hoping to gain experience and knowledge to further his career and focus more on mixing music and sound design.
Coming from a musical family, Ana has always been connected to music, from learning the violin, piano, playing in orchestras and composing. She moved to London in 2010 to pursue her Bachelors in Music at City University London. Her passion for film lead her to explore a career in music publishing and music supervision.
She joined the Soho Sonic family last year and so far this experience has brought her the opportunity to connect with people from the music industry, learn how a music studio works and most of all to be involved in different projects from event planning to artist productions.
Natan Sterenfeld is sound engineer, producer and musician from London. Coming from a musical background and playing guitar for many artists/bands, he developed a great interest in recording and production.
After finishing a degree in music from the university of Chichester, Natan came to Soho Sonic to gain experience and knowledge to help further his career in the music industry.
Niall is a multi instrumentalist artistic producer/composer/sound designer with a special knack for creating modern, atmospheric productions. He specialises in synthesis and beat making and has an in-depth knowledge of current music styles and genres.
After years of doing the band circuit Niall enrolled to Brighton University to study Creative Music Production. His unique work and dedication led him to follow a career in composing music for TV.
It is this direction that gives him the ability to create distinctive textures and memorable themes that not only compliment and enhance the numerous projects he has worked on but are also recognised and praised by the people who enjoy them.
Rich Pilkington is a Producer specialising in Pop, House & EDM music.
He has won best Dance song for the International Songwriting Competition 2013, been on tour as a session drummer supporting The Saturdays, DJ’ed across London and worked at Soho Sonic since the beginning.
He is currently signed with management out in LA and is currently between London and LA.
Sara Pardo is a Journalist and Producer from Barcelona with vast and depth experience in the conceptualisation and coordination of audiovisual projects, as well as TV, documentaries, independent reports and music videos.
She has worked as a Journalist and Producer on the broadcasting department of several TV and radio programmes in Spain. After having spent over a year in New York as a foreign correspondent for Catalunya Ràdio (Catalan national radio station), she decided to relocate to Barcelona and London with the principal objective of developing her skills and knowledge in both cities.
She manages video production teams and really loves directing videos from the creation of a singular idea.
Julian is a musician, sound engineer and producer from Almeria, Spain. With a background of guitar playing in heavy metal bands, he mixes traditional recording techniques with modern record production.
After performing with his band Nexus at Euroblast Festival in Cologne, Germany, he decided to move to London to improve his craft in recording and producing, which resulted in a Diploma at Alchemea College in both studio recording/music production and post production/game sound.
His energy and determination has led him to freelance in different endeavours, from working with bands, to doing live sound to foley recording for the short film Little Soldier (awarded by Film London with a special mention at London Calling 2015). Since November of 2015 Julian joined the Soho Sonic team to widen his experience and reach new frontiers creatively and professionally.
Francesco is a music composer with a background in classical music. After obtaining a degree in Jazz Music Composition in Italy, he moved to London where his love for writing music lead him to attend a master degree course in Music for Film and Television.
Francesco is also a producer and songwriter and he recently joined the Soho Sonic family where he loves each day spent at the studio. Here, he wishes to develop his skills and pursue an ambitious career in the music business.
Before working with Soho Sonic Matt was a Vocalist. He learnt to sing from age six, when he toured with New College Choir and visited Japan, America and most of Europe before reaching his teens. Matt is now forging a career as a music producer and composer after having completed a Masters Scholarship in Music Production at York University. He has always enjoyed learning and collaborating with musicians from various musical backgrounds, having recently embarked on a six-week recording visit to Colombia. His debut album project ‘Out of Colombia’ engaged in an oversea fusion project depicting the various genres of music intrinsic to Colombian culture
Marco Marin is a drums/percussion/guitar player, recording and mixing engineer from Marostica, Italy. His passion for music allowed him to connect with many different musicians and artists throughout the years, playing drums and guitar in different bands initially in Italy and then in London.
After completing his degree, he found an opportunity as live sound engineer, gaining experience working with several live bands of all kind of music genres in different venues inside and outside London.
He started embracing freelance music and post production projects in his home recording studio in North London
among which he performed as Foley artist for the short film Little Soldier engineered by Julian Blanco and Kjartan Gudmundsson.
He joined the Soho Sonic team in May 2016 to develop his technical skills and to expand his experience in recording and mixing.
Alejandro Valdes is a music producer, composer and sound designer based in London. He has performed as a session musician on recordings for many up and coming artists and has plenty of on stage experience singing, playing guitar and bass.
After completing a Masters in Audio Production at the University Of Westminster he’s been looking to gain a lot more industry experience creating fresh sounds and quality productions. Some of his main influences are David Foster, Quincy Jones and Sergio George.
