OJ (Ofer Shabi) - Managing Director / Music Producer / Composer
After studying jazz piano and arrangement at the Bill Evans Academy in Paris, Israeli-born multi-instrumentalist OJ moved to London where he joined soul-rock group Soul Abyss, performing, writing and arranging the tracks, and developing a love for recording and composition.
A desire for perfectionism over touring, led OJ to setup a studio in his garage, inviting other musicians and engineers to live and create music with him. The result was The Musician's House. In 2010 OJ moved the studio out of his house and into professional premises, setting up Soho Sonic Studios just off Oxford Circus.
At Soho Sonic OJ has been able to develop relationships with many of the biggest record labels and media companies. His credits include So-Solid Crew, Leona Lewis, and Cassandra Fox, who scored a number 1 hit with her track “Touch Me” with Rui Da Silva. He has also composed for TV and games for BBC, Sky, Ubisoft, and Universal Channel's recent sonic rebrand, which saw him responsible for developing a complete new sonic identity for the channel across 120 countries.
In addition to his clients, OJ has built-up relationships with many top audio equipment and software companies, including Focusrite/Novation, FXpansion, Steinberg and sE Electronics, ensuring his projects are always equipped with the latest great tools.
