OJ

After studying jazz piano and arrangement at the Bill Evans Academy in Paris, Israeli-born multi-instrumentalist OJ moved to London where he joined soul-rock group Soul Abyss, performing, writing and arranging the tracks, and developing a love for recording and composition.

A desire for perfectionism over touring, led OJ to set up a studio in his garage, inviting other musicians and engineers to live and create music with him. The result was The Musician’s House. In 2010 OJ moved the studio out of his house and into professional premises, setting up Soho Sonic Studios just off Oxford Circus.

FRIDEL

Over the last ten years Fridel has been writing and producing music for film, TV, theatre, albums production and mobile apps. He composed music for channels like BBC, 4 music, Universal, Al Jazeera international, CNN, Discovery. He scored theatre and dance productions nationally and internationally such as Scapino Ballet, Tim Supple, Habima National Theatre, Schaubühne Berlin. He produced and mixed albums for leading artists in Europe and the UK.

Fridel started out as a classically-trained tuba player, performing with the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra and the National Opera, before coming to the UK to study Audio Production at the University of Westminster, London

MOLLY

Molly is a producer, engineer and songwriter with a background in classical piano. From a young age, Molly has performed in bands and orchestras before gaining a passion for live sound and music production. She has since studied music technology at university and has led many theatrical and soundscape productions. Production strengths include alternative, contemporary jazz & soul, acoustic & folk genres. Molly’s influences include Lianne La Havis, Joy Crookes, Hiatus Kaiyote and Alabama Shakes.

BETH

Beth is an engineer and producer originally from the midlands. She is a multi-instrumentalist – being self taught at guitar, keys, bass and vocals and is aiming to expand this skill set with drums and saxophone. 

After acquiring a degree in sound design, Beth moved to London to pursue a career in the industry with the Soho Sonic team. Whilst she maintains her strengths in recording and post-production, she is also developing her production and song-writing skills. 

Beth draws inspiration from jazz, pop and alternative music and has been heavily influenced by artists such as Jordan Rakei, FKJ, Upsahl and Arctic Monkeys.

DOM

Dom is Music Producer and Recording/Mixing Engineer with a mixed German and English background. Specialising in Pop, Hip-Hop, and Electronic music production, Dom’s passion for creating music started young – teaching himself production at the age of 13 after learning Guitar and Drums. He moved to London after finishing his degree in Creative Music Technology at the University of Surrey to pursue a career in music production. Since joining Soho Sonic, his experience includes working for major labels such as Sony, Island Records, EMI, and Universal as well as clients such as the BBC, Channel 4, Endemol Shine Group and many in between.

JULIAN

Julian is a music producer that specialises in alternative/electronic productions with a modern and powerful sound. With a background as a musician playing in bands, Julian understands the power of collaboration. He has worked with artists of the caliber of Lewis Capaldi, Jorja Smith, Bugzsy Malone, Honorable C.N.O.T.E., Grace Grundy and New Hope Club to name a few. Julian plays guitar, bass and keys and has years of experience working in top London studios.

FRANCESCO

Multi-instrumentalist and music enthusiast, Francesco is a well-rounded music producer. With classical and jazz training, he’s an expert in live instrumentation music and likes to include organic sounds in modern electronic productions. He specialises in Pop, R&B with jazzy elements and traditional singer-songwriter music. Credits include Alfie Boe, Tony Hadley (Spandau Ballet), Charming Horses and Laura Wright but also BBC, Warner Music and Universal to name a few.

IMAD

Imad left his day job to pursue a career in music engineering and production and has since then worked on countless records and artists signed to small, and big labels. His passion grew from childhood piano lessons, into producing demos on his computer at 13. Staying true to his early influences, Imad focuses his writing and producing in the Pop Charts arena – developing unique and challenging sounds, whilst referencing current trends.

CHARLOTTE

Charlotte Berg is a classically-trained, multi-instrumental producer, writer and singer who specialises in Pop, Rock, Country and Folk music. Over a four year period, while based in Nashville, she toured the US, the UK and parts of Europe, playing hundreds of shows, including several festivals. She’s had two songs chart and has written for many other artists and bands.

CALUM

Calum Macdonald is an electronic music producer and instrumentalist from London who mixes influences from indie and alternative as well as contemporary R&B and Neo-Soul to create captivating, emotive tracks.

Having learnt how to play the guitar, saxophone and piano from a young age, he moved to London in 2016 to complete a degree in Music Production from the British and Irish Modern Music Institute, whilst continuing to perform and having the opportunity to play at events in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. During his time at university, his interest in synthesis and sampling grew, eventually leading him to explore the world of modular synthesis and find his own creative voice.

BEN

Ben Sharvit is a 25 year old music producer and singer-songwriter with a degree in music technology. He is a  self-taught multi-instrumentalist and has a passion for a variety of genres and specialises in contemporary pop. 

For over a decade, Ben has broadened his skill-set significantly to include guitar and piano playing, as well as beatboxing and singing. Ben’s drive and motivation for music, alongside his deeply empathetic nature enables him to successfully invoke passion and feeling into his artistry and music production.

Ben credits his work at Soho Sonic as being largely responsible for his rapid personal and professional musical growth and  achievements in recent years. He strives to continue his development at Soho Sonic by providing an excellent personalised service to all current and future clients.

ANDREI

Andrei Colta is a music producer, topliner and songwriter based in London. He stepped into music from an early age, trained initially as a classical pianist. His early dedication to songwriting pushed him to move into music production gradually and to refine his skills in every aspect of recorded music – arrangement, structure, vocal production, performance, drum programming, composition, genre. While massively influenced by genres such as electronica, soul, hip hop, indie and pop music. He specialises in minimal music, indietronica, ambient pop, and lo-fi genres.

ELLEN

Music producer, composer, sound engineer and vocalist. Having been trained with the Halle orchestra, Oxford Brookes university and worked in various professional studios, she continues to develop her unique skill set in the music industry. Ellen has collaborated with musicians, producers and trainee film directors to create music for multiple social media  platforms, artists and short films. She specialises in electronic/dance, house, nu disco, techno and alt pop. Credits/projects include Chris ‘ruff diamond’, BOBSI, forthcoming virtual reality game Vstars and various others.

BENJAMIN

Ben is a music producer, composer, video editor, and vocalist/instrumentalist with a keen interest in UK Grime, Hip-Hop, as well as music compositions for films and promotional videos. Ben completed his Bachelor’s with Honours degree in Creative Music Technology in 2020, during which time he achieved professional recognition as a producer with the 2019 release of Durrty Goodz’s track ‘Brexit.’ Since graduating, Ben has released two singles on Spotify, and has undertaken a range of freelance projects, requiring video editing and music production/composition.

IAN

Ian Rasch-Holmes is a producer, multi-instrumentalist and mix engineer who travelled to the UK in 2011 to further his studies and pursue a career in music. Before graduating in 2017, Ian had amassed thousands of plays in the EDM scene, receiving support from the likes of The EDM Network, Beatport and Monstercat. Ian graduated with a first degree at the top of his class, being awarded the Producer of the Year award for two years running.

Ian now works as a mix engineer and continues to write and produce both his own music and that of other artists, primarily focussing on electronic-based pop. He has produced music for the BBC, George Shelley (Union J) and many more.

NATAN

Natan Sterenfeld is sound engineer, producer and musician from London. Coming from a musical background and playing guitar for many artists/bands, he developed a great interest in recording and production. After finishing a degree in music from the university of Chichester, Natan came to Soho Sonic to gain experience and knowledge to help further his career in the music industry.

MANON

Manon is a producer and songwriter originally from the south of France, and graduated from the British and Irish Modern Music institute. Manon stepped into music from an early age, training initially as a classical pianist and flutist. Since then she has played for many bands and artists as a bassist, guitarist and saxophonist. 

After moving to London, she developed a deep interest in music production, and draws inspiration from jazz hip-hop, electro pop and soul, but is also very inspired by EDM producers such as KITO and Jengi. As a recent member of the team at Soho Sonic, Manon is developing her skills while gaining experience in the music industry.

JEMIMA

Jem is an aspiring music producer with a passion for songwriting. As a multi-instrumentalist with a strong background in guitar and bass; she performs as a bassist and vocalist in bands and also writes her own songs. 

A new addition to the Soho Sonic team, Jem wants to build her portfolio and knowledge of music production.
