For the lucky people who live in London, there is no need to spend a fortune on camping equipment this summer. You don’t need a tent, or wellies or a bucket full of dry shampoo to enjoy a full music experience this year. You won’t even need to give up the warmth of your bed in the evening!
In the next few months, there are some of the world’s biggest and most popular acts coming to London, guaranteeing days of fun just a few tube stops away!
As a recording studio in London, we are extremely excited to have some of the best artists performing right on our doorstep.

Read on for all the information you need about the music festivals taking place in London this summer!
British Summer Time – Hyde Park (Thursday June 18th – Saturday June 27th)
For the third year running, Hyde Park will play host to some of the biggest and most popular music artists.
The festival takes place in small stages, and celebrates music, food, comedy and theatre.
The Strokes will open the festival on the Thursday, playing their first London show in over 5 years. They are one of indie rock’s defining and most influential bands, having sold over 5 million albums.
Other singers performing throughout the festival are Blur, Kylie and The Who. Mid-week is where the comedians get there time to shine, before the music takes over again at the weekend!
One of the most talked about artists of the moment, Taylor Swift, will be appearing on Saturday 27th to close the festival. She’s a seven times Grammy award winner and one of the hottest singers right now – definitely one not to be missed.
Also appearing that Saturday is Ellie Goulding and John Newman!
If you live close enough to attend the festival to watch one of these incredible acts, we suggest getting tickets. It’s without a doubt going to be an amazing experience, no matter who you go to watch!
Wireless – Finsbury Park (Friday 3rd July – Sunday 5th July)
This is the second year that Finsbury Park has hosted the Wireless music festival – a celebration of the best hip-hop, R&B and dance music.
Drake headlines Friday, with other acts including Labrinth, Duke Dumont and Lethal Bizzle. Saturday sees Avicii, Jess Glynne and Mary J Blige take the stage, whilst Sunday gives host to stars such as David Guetta, Jessie J, Nicki Minaj and Clean Bandit.
If you like R&B or dance music – this is a festival for you!
Camden Lock live – Camden Lock market (Friday July 10th)
The yards and market halls of Camden Lock are throwing an urban music festival – and it’s completely free! So for those of you who can’t afford to attend a festival this summer, get down to Camden Lock and enjoy the music without having to spend money!
There will be three stages of live music, as well as comedy, food and pop up cocktail tents!
There isn’t any massive names appearing, but it’s always fun to check out new and local music.
Some of the acts include electro-psych-pop trio Stealing Sheep, The Cuban Brothers and Norman Jay MBE.
